Tirzepatide Journal
Why I Started Less Food Noise
Why I wanted a calmer, more practical place to write about weight-loss medications, food noise, protein, workouts, and maintenance.
Personal experience and educational content only. This post is not medical advice.
I started Less Food Noise because I wanted a place to write about this experience in a way that felt useful while I was actually living it. I did not want a glossy success story, and I did not want to write like I was building a medical website. I wanted something closer to a notebook: clear enough to be helpful, honest enough to be worth returning to.
Why this felt necessary
A lot of the conversation around weight-loss medications sounds too certain in one direction or the other. Some of it is all excitement and before-and-after energy. Some of it is pure warning language. Most of us are just trying to figure out what to eat on a Tuesday, whether our workouts still make sense, and whether the strange thing we noticed this week is a pattern or just a weird week.
That middle is what I wanted to document. What happens when food gets quieter, but planning food still matters? What do I want to track without turning myself into a full-time self-experiment? How do I think about protein, strength training, side effects, and maintenance without making everything feel fragile?
What this site will focus on
- Weekly notes that stay practical instead of dramatic
- Food noise, appetite, protein, and regular meals
- Shot day, side effects, and the routines around them
- Workouts, muscle retention, and long-term maintenance
What I want the tone to be
I want the writing here to feel calm. Not passive, not fake-neutral, just calm. If something is hard, I want to say it plainly. If something is helping, I want to say that plainly too. I do not want every post to sound like a breakthrough. Some weeks are just notes. Some are useful mostly because they help me compare one month to the next.
I also want this site to stay broad enough to be useful beyond one medication or one phase. Tirzepatide is part of the story right now, but the bigger story is how I’m trying to lose fat without losing muscle, structure, or my ability to think clearly about food.
The goal is less noise, not more optimization pressure.
If you are new here, I would start with the Start Here page, then What I’m Tracking While Taking Tirzepatide.
